Toni Boozer (blonde_blythe) is the author and Jasmine Becket-Griffith presents the foreword.

The title of the book is, Big Eye Art: Resurrected and Transformed
The publisher is Merrell Publishers of London and New York
To be distributed worldwide in April 2008.

In the late 1950s, throughout the 1960s and into the 1970s, such artists as Margaret Keane, Gig and Maio created a new kind of mass-produced art known as ‘big eye’. Now big-eye art has undergone a major revival, but with a twist: the wide-eyed, endearing waifs of the earlier movement have transformed into fairies, mermaids, demons and myriad otherworldly beings, including the famous ‘Blythe’ doll. This extraordinary book showcases the dazzling works of over 20 of today’s most significant big-eye artists, offering an insight into a fantastical, sometimes bizarre, metaphysical world.

• A fascinating introduction to a cult art form, providing biographies of the featured artists, contact details and website addresses.
• Includes over 170 captivating images of the work of more than 20 big-eye practitioners, among them Jasmine Becket-Griffith, Lisa Petrucci and Krisgoat.
• Will appeal to collectors of big-eye and Japanese anime and manga art and dolls, fans of fantasy and Gothic culture, and anyone interested in pop culture.

The full list of artists featured in the book are;
Abril Andrade, Sherri Baldy, Jasmine Becket-Griffith, Misty Benson, Toni Boozer, Chrissy Clark, Lindsey Cormier, Candice Dillhoff, Dennis Finley, Mark Gleason, Kelly Haigh, Carrie Hawks, Noelle Hunt, Valerie Jeanne, Elizabeth Victoria Knowles, Lisa Luree, Krisgoat, Joanna Nelson, Lisa Petrucci, and Alexandria Sandlin.

The Mod Squad is a group of seriously talented artists who specializes in the creation of custom modified yo-yos. My designs are featured on high quality side caps on various modded yoyos on this site.

The Diss Kings are Josh Root and Jack Ringca. They are royal scoundrels, geniuses, assholes, morons. Diss Kings exists as a way to knock down the people who are too full of themselves, too inconsiderate of others, or just too stupid to be bothered with. Yoyoing is for everyone, and it’s just playing with a little toy, no matter how fancy we pretend it is. We’re not curing cancer here or saving kids from burning buildings. We’re playing with toys. Diss Kings also create limited runs of various yoyo products. Why? Because we have to fill our treasure chests somehow, insults don’t pay the bills.

The Diss Kings produce 3 Krisgoat T-shirts. Angry Bunny, Back To Skull, and Diskings Heads. They will be available soon on their website.
